Tim – Bass

Tim’s been playing bass since high school where he learned to play in secret. He was originally the sound guy but always wanted to be up on stage too!

Tim played bass in various local Cambridge, UK rock bands during the eighties, playing seventies rock covers and some original material, with his brother Chris on drums in Axeband, Orcrist, Horizon and One Night Stand.

After various bands during his 20’s he took the usual break to focus on a real job and his family, and moved to the States.

Now, during his mid-life crisis, he decided to forgo the motorcycle and trophy wife, and started to play again. He picked up his bass again when Elliot invited him to jam with his acoustic band.

Another friend in town, Tony, and he loved 1980's dance music, so they started the TNT rhythm section and began to look for local musicians.

Tim’s influences are numerous but Flea, Peter Gabriel, Tears for Fears are a few, and both he and Tony like rock, disco, 1980’s and any other good music (no screamo)!

Tim now plays a Modulus Quantum 5, Westone Thunder 3 neck through,  and Westone Thunder IIA fretless, through a Aguilar 500 two channel head and Epifani 3x10 super light cab.

Tim finds playing very therapeutic, saving him $1,000's of a year in psychotherapy! Any savings however have been turned into new gear!
